If only my idol nino was serious in road, really think he can also win ronda. 7 years ago i was the designated driver of the national team in tour of taiwan. Coach dolosa and coach amar were with me inside the team vehicle. The riders we brought were irish, sembrano, navarro, feliciano, obosa, and nino. It was stage 4, most difficult stage, a 50km climb and mountaintop finish. I can say its much more difficult than baguio and tch or both combined. When the climb started, both coach dolosa and amar were rooting for irish to be the best pinoy climber. I was just silent. Slowly we passed the dropped riders including ours one by one until feliciano. Both coaches were silent. I floored the car to catch up to the lead group and there was nino, i looked at both coaches with a smirk. Btw, #22 arashiro, who finished together with nino, is now the domestique of voeckler. My idol is a salesman now.

Told him he's not getting younger and that road is more prestigious than mtb race.
